This page explains how Cairo Stay Finder (cairostayfinder.com) collects, uses and protects your information when you visit the site.

1. Who we are

Cairo Stay Finder is an independent travel-content website that publishes guides about Cairo, Egypt, and recommends hotels in the city. We are not a travel agency, we do not operate any of the hotels listed, and we do not collect or process payments. Hotel bookings are completed on third-party websites such as Booking.com.

2. Data we collect

We try to collect as little personal information as possible.

Information you actively provide

We do not have user accounts, comment forms or newsletter sign-ups. We do not knowingly collect personal information that you actively submit, because the site does not have such forms.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, our hosting provider and our analytics tool may collect:

  • Technical data: IP address (truncated by our analytics), browser type and version, operating system, device type, screen size, referring URL.
  • Usage data: pages visited, time on page, clicks on outbound affiliate links, language preference.
  • Security data: data needed to detect and prevent abuse (e.g. firewall logs).

This data is used in anonymous or pseudonymous form to understand which articles are useful, to improve the site, and to detect technical issues.

4. Affiliate disclosure

Some of the outbound links on this site — for example, links to Booking.com — are or will be affiliate links. We only recommend hotels and services we genuinely believe are useful to our readers. Affiliate income does not influence which hotels appear on the site.

We do not store personal data on our own servers. Aggregated analytics data is retained by Google according to the default Google Analytics 4 retention period (currently 14 months, configurable in the GA4 admin).
